"PvP is actually fun here"
I mostly play FFXIV for the story, so I did not expect to get into PvP much, but it surprised me. Crystalline Conflict is fast, simple to jump into, and it does not feel too intense even when I end up losing.
The rewards help a lot too. Mounts, glamour items, and the series rewards all give me a reason to keep queueing up. Matchmaking can feel a bit odd sometimes, but overall I have been having a really good time with it.

"Worth the monthly sub for me"
I’ve been subscribed to finalfantasyxiv.com for a while now, mostly because I end up playing after work when I’m too tired to decide on anything else. the price feels fair with how much time I put into it. The billing has been straightforward too, no random charges or weird surprises showing up on my card, which I always check because I’m overly paranoid about that stuff. I also like that I can pause the subscription if I need a break and just come back later. For a monthly game sub, it feels worth it to me.

"I mean, some of the tracks are…"
I mean, some of the tracks are nice, and I did enjoy listening to a few of them. But, like, the sound effects just feel really flat to me, you know? They don’t really add much impact or depth, so it kind of takes away from the overall experience a bit.

"I feel a little embarrassed admitting…"
I feel a little embarrassed admitting this because I used to be really into it, but the jobs all kind of feel the same now. After a while, it starts to feel like I’m just doing the same thing over and over with slightly different details. I still don’t hate it, but I wish there was more variety to keep things interesting

"I wanted to enjoy crafting, but it just wore me down"
At first I was kind of excited to gather materials and make stuff, because I usually like that cozy little routine in games. But quickly it just started feeling slow and kind of pointless. One minute I was trying to be patient, and the next I was just frustrated, wondering why I was spending so much time on something that didn’t feel rewarding.

"Glamour Feels Too Restricted"
I really wanted to enjoy the glamour system more, but it feels way too limited to me. The character customization comes across as outdated, and dealing with all the gear restrictions gets frustrating fast. On top of that, there’s still weird clipping with certain pieces, which makes putting together a good look harder than it should be. I expected a lot more freedom, so personally, I’d say the whole system feels stuck in the past and could really use a big update.

"Market board keeps dragging me back"
I spend an embarrassing amount of time staring at the market board in FFXIV. Half the time I’m just pricing things, checking what actually sells, or crafting stuff I hope won’t immediately crash in value. It can be frustrating when someone undercuts you two minutes after you list something, but somehow that’s also what keeps me checking it.
The player economy definitely isn’t perfect, and the annoying parts stand out fast. Prices swing all over the place, some markets get ruined overnight, and you really do have to babysit your listings if you want steady gil. Still, when you figure out a good niche and make a profit, it feels weirdly satisfying. I hate how much it works on me, but it does. 5 stars.

"Mostly Safe, Just a Little Cautious"
I usually feel safe playing FFXIV, which is a big deal for me because I’m always a little worried about getting fooled by fake-friendly players or people acting nice just to be toxic later. Reporting is simple enough, and I’ve actually seen rude players get dealt with, even if it sometimes takes a while. The moderation feels better than in a lot of other online games, and most of the community is genuinely chill. You still run into the occasional toxic person in dungeons, but blocking and reporting usually takes care of it. Overall, I’d give it 4 stars.
"Housing still feels way too hard to get"
I really do love the game, but from what I remember trying to get a house, it felt like everything came down to luck, timing, and waiting around. Apartments are a decent backup and help a little, but I still wish regular housing plots were more realistic for normal players to get

"Theres always something fun going on"
Ive been playing FFXIV for a good while now, and the steady updates are a big reason I keep coming back. Theres usually some new quests, raids, fixes, or little side stuff to mess around with before I start feeling bored.
The live events are nice too. Theyre not super stressful, and the rewards are usually cute. Some of them are simple, sure, but I dont really mind that. The site is easy enough to use when I want to check news or patch notes too

"I can usually log in without…"
I can usually log in without much trouble, but actually managing the account feels way more complicated than it needs to be. The Mog Station, passwords, and security token stuff can get confusing really fast, especially if you haven’t touched it in a while. It works once you finally figure it out, but it feels like I’m wasting energy on something that should be simple. Not awful, just irritating here and there

"Great for dungeons and raids"
I’ve mostly been playing for the dungeons and raids, that’s where the game really shines for me. The boss fights usually feel fair, and I like that when you mess up, it’s clear what happened and how to improve next pull. Some of the raid mechanics are especially fun to learn with friends, like coordinating movement, dodging patterns, and timing cooldowns together. The music during big encounters also adds a lot and makes certain fights feel way more intense. A few older dungeons do feel a bit slow or forgettable now, and DPS queues can definitely test your patience, but overall the encounter design is really solid. Easy 4 stars from me.

"I tried to get into it. I really…"
I tried to get into it. I really did. But the combat felt kind of slow, like everything took a little too long to happen. And the quests... after a while, they all started feeling the same. Run here, talk to this person, do a thing. I got bored fast.

"Took a little while, but it worked"
The install took longer than I thought it would, and that part was a bit annoying. After the updates finished, though, the launcher worked fine. Nothing really went wrong or anything, it was just kind of slow at first with that whole thing.

"Pretty solid overall"
The servers have been mostly reliable for me, even when I’m in crowded areas. I’ve hit a few lag spikes during peak hours, but nothing that really ruined the experience. Login queues do pop up sometimes, which is a bit annoying, but overall it runs better than I expected.
"Still worth it after all these years"
I’ve been playing FFXIV for years now, the expansions have been worth it for me. The story usually hits hard, the zones are gorgeous, and even after you finish the MSQ there’s still a ton to mess around with. Some sections definitely drag a bit, like you can feel the pacing slow down and you’re just kind of waiting for it to... but overall, the quality of the content is really solid

"Really welcoming community overall"
The community has been super welcoming so far. I’ve had a few awkward runs here and there, but most players are really nice. A lot of the weird moments felt avoidable, so it didn’t ruin the experience for me.
"The graphics in Final Fantasy XIV are…"
The graphics in Final Fantasy XIV are really pretty. Like, yeah, some of the older areas definitely look a little dated if you stare too long, but then my brain is like, wait… this still has so much charm? The art style does a lot of heavy lifting in the best way, and it makes the world feel alive. The cities, the gear, the boss designs, the scenery — all of it just looks so good. I’ll be running to a quest and suddenly stop because the lighting hits just right and I’m like, okay, screenshot time again lol. That probably says it all.

"Slow start, but the world pulled me in"
At first, I wasn’t totally hooked because there were a lot of names, places, and details to keep track of, so the early parts felt a bit slow for me. But once I spent more time in the world and got used to everything, the story started getting a lot better. I really enjoyed exploring and seeing how things connected, even if it took a while to get there. Overall, it was a good experience, just one that needed some patience in the beginning

"Way Too Complicated Just to Start Playing"
I tried getting into FFXIV, but the whole setup process wore me out before I even got to play. There were too many accounts, codes, launchers, and menus to deal with, and none of it felt straightforward. I ended up resetting my password twice and still felt like I was fighting the system more than starting a game. Common sense says a new player should be able to download, log in, and play without jumping through this many hoops. It really doesn’t feel beginner-friendly.
